Hello To My New Job
I’ve been at RMG Connect for a couple of weeks now and I must say that I really like it.
There are several people that I now work with whom I’ve worked with in the past at companies such as Tribal DDB and SixtyFootSpider. I really like and respect these folks and it’s a real treat to be working with them again.
The work is interesting and challenging as well. I’m working primarily on the United States Marines web sites at the moment doing front-end developement work (XHTML and CSS). It’s fun and engaging to get back into this area of work and brush up on my skills after being away from it for a while.
It’s also nice that the hours are pretty normal 8-ish-hour work days. The last couple of jobs that I’ve had were full of very long days/weeks. (Although, I did have a couple of good years at Ackerman McQueen where the work hours were pretty normal.)
I think there’s real potential for growth at RMG. It appears to be a well-organized company with solid business intiatives that should offer opportunities to do very interesting and rewarding projects. My passion for interactive advertising and marketing is feeling quite refreshed.
