James Wayne Glass: Rest In Peace
My older brother, James Wayne Glass, was born on May 5, 1967 and died of natural causes in his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on June 5, 2011.
James was always the best looking boy in our family when we were kids. He was a talented football player and had a great sense of humor. He was irreverent and rebellious. He was determined to live life on his terms. James was popular with the girls in school and, even to this day, women who we went to school with ask about him when they see me.
My brother lived life at full speed and he died far too young. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
I had always hoped that we would develop a closer relationship someday. That will now have to wait until we are once again on the same plane.
James is now at rest. May peace and happiness be with his soul for eternity.
So long, my brother.
Goodbye, Annie. 1997 – 2010
Annie was my best buddy and my most loyal dog. I adopted her when she was about 2 years old and she was instantly almost the perfect dog. She was so well behaved, sweet and loyal that it felt like she had been with me forever.
Sadly, Annie developed lymphatic cancer last year. We didn’t think too much about the lumps for a long time because it’s not uncommon for dogs to get them as they get older and the vet didn’t think much of them at her last check up.
Bloglines Is Dead. Long Live Bloglines!
I got an email today in regards to my Bloglines account that made me feel pretty good. You see, Bloglines announced that they were shutting the service down. Well, to be more specific, the announcement was that the parent company, Ask.com, was shutting Bloglines down. That was a real bummer because I’ve been a happy Bloglines user for several years.
What is Bloglines? It’s a free online RSS aggregator service — it gathers all the RSS news feeds that you are interested in into one user interface. Read the rest of this entry »
