Dallas’ Motopia Cafe Shifts To Private-Member Status Effective Jan. 1, 2009
The unique Motopia Cafe has announced on it’s website that it will become a private club starting January 2009. It’s unfortunate that founders Rene Larrave and Ramir Camu have decided to monetize the business in this way.
Motopia is unique in Dallas in that it has been a European-styled cafe built around a full-service motorcycle garage and, oddly, a business center. The ambiance, food and coffee offered at Motopia set it apart from any other cycle-centric establishment in the DFW area but had always been open to the general public.
Memberships will initially be limited to 100 people with an initiation fee of $100 and monthly dues of $100. (They should be calling it the 100 Club.)
